Kara and Michael were such a fun couple to photograph! Every part of their wedding was so special, meaningful and filled to the brim with fun. It was my first time shooting a wedding at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and I was amazed by the beauty of the church. The stained glass was so beautiful and I loved how open and filled with light the sanctuary was during Kara and Michael’s ceremony. Michael is actually a teacher at Sacred Heart, so the church is a very special place to him and Kara. They are both recent graduates from Belmont Abbey College and are starting their teaching careers and their marriage! Kara and Michael are an amazing couple and so perfect for one another, and it was such an honor to document their wedding day.
I knew it was going to be a fantastic wedding after I photographed their engagement session back in the fall. Kara and Michael were so natural in front of the camera and their love and admiration for each other shined through in every single photograph. They had their reception at The Arbors, a beautiful venue not far from Salisbury, in Cleveland, NC. I had two favorite moments from the day. The first was when Kara and Michael prayed together through the doorway without seeing each other. It was such a personal moment, and I felt like it was a true picture of their marriage. My second favorite moment was their ribbon wand exit. I loved the expressions on their faces and the joy radiating from all of their family and friends. It was said over and over again by many people there, but Kara and Michael are an exceptional couple and have a very bright future together. Congratulations Kara and Michael!
