It’s that time of year when I finally have some time to catch up on blogging. Kristin and Alex’s Round Peak Vineyard wedding was quite a while ago, but it was such a fantastic day and I just have to share a few of my favorites. I always get crazy busy in the fall and somehow this amazing wedding went unblogged for so long! Fortunately, I have just hired a wonderful studio assistant to help me stay on top of blogging and all the other tasks of running a business (I will introduce you to her later)!
What I loved most about Kristin and Alex were their quirky personalities, intelligence, compassion, and their beautiful love for each other. Kristin belly dances, how awesome is that!? I have tried belly dancing a few times and loved it. My sister in law’s bachelorette party included a group belly dancing lesson, which was way too much fun! Kris and Alex are dog lovers. Anyone see a trend here? I swear almost all of my couples love dogs! They chose to do some of their engagement photos at the Durham Farmer’s Market, which made me love them even more. I am a sucker for farmer’s markets. I just love looking at all the colorful fruits, veggies, pastries, eggs, cheeses, meats and flowers. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!
Kris and Alex’s wedding day was filled with so many good things. So many wonderful people came together to celebrate. There was so much goofiness and crazy fun. It was just a blast. The details are blurry at this point (yes, it’s been over two years) but what I remember most are the feelings of joy for Kris and Alex, the amusement at their super funny and fun-loving friends, and the beauty of it all. Round Peak Vineyard is such a gem. It had amazing views of the mountains and one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen at a wedding. Courtney Potter Cook shot this wedding with me, and she did an amazing job, as always! You will see quite a few of her images in this post. Here are just a few of my favorites, which were very difficult to narrow down!
