Get ready for an epic wedding, folks. This is a little bit late coming, since I actually photographed this wedding back in November. I ran out of blogging steam after all the fall weddings last year because I was very busy making sure my clients had their wedding day images, but I am back in the saddle! Annie and John had one of the most fun receptions I have ever seen. It was a true celebration and I think every single person there was having the time of their lives. When the party got started, Annie’s family sprung a surprise Polish ‘Dyngus Day Celebration’ to induct John into the family, complete with crazy hats and umbrellas. They also sawed a log, a German tradition that signifies the couple’s overcoming hard times and the start of building their new life together . I thought this was so great!! It was pretty tough… the best man and maid of honor had to jump in and help them out. Annie has a great personality and I loved chatting with her before the wedding and hearing all about their plans, and by the time I met her on her wedding day I felt like we were old friends. It is about time I share some images from Annie and John’s fantastic wedding!
