Thankful

Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I’ve been thinking about the things that make me feel really lucky.  Here are a few of them:

I’m thankful for Aaron, who is just an all-around amazing person and a great boyfriend.  He gives me advice when I need it, he kisses me lots of times in a row when we see each other, he goofs off with me and Rio and pretends to be a gorilla, he’s my travel buddy, he peels my socks off and rubs my feet just because he feels like it, he cooks with me, he’s a great snuggler, he is honest, he amazes me with his intelligence, he works very hard, he is handsome, dependable, generous, kind, and best of all, tons of fun.  We’ve been together now for a year and 7 months, and he feels like home and makes me a better person.  This is all very mushy, but I just love him so much and feel like an extremely lucky lady!

I am thankful for my always-supportive and loving family.  My mom is always coming up with ideas to help me get my business off the ground, and she inspires me.  My dad is responsible and such an honest person, and he helped instill a strong work ethic in me.  My brother, Sam, is such a thinker and philosopher and helps me remember to examine why I do what I do.  I’m going to be a dork and include my puppy dog in this section. I’m so glad I found him last summer because he keeps me entertained and is so loving and happy.

I am thankful for my wonderful friends who keep me straight and keep me laughing.

I am thankful for the knowledge I have gained that has allowed me to start my own business doing something that I love.  I am thankful for the people that have given me the chance to document their lives in photos.  It’s been challenging, and people say this is such a hard time to be starting out, but I might as well be glad for the challenge because I know it will make me and my business stronger in the long run, and there’s nowhere to go but up from here.

I am thankful for my health.
