This photo cracks me up. Sarah and Aaron are the most fun couple ever, pretty much. Aaron is a total goofball and can bring humor into just about any situation. Sarah is intelligent, focused and friendly. They make a brilliant pair. As you will see, they are amazingly sweet together. The joy and love you can see in their faces and in the faces of their family and friends was incredible on their wedding day. Despite the rainy weather, the tone of the day was so bright and cheerful that it didn’t feel like a rainy day at all. I felt so full of life after shooting their wedding, even though I had been on my feet for over 10 hours. It was so energizing to be around such a lively and fun bunch of people and to witness so much love. You could feel the love flying around the room, not just between Sarah and Aaron but between their families and friends.
Sarah and Aaron’s wedding was my first time documenting a Jewish wedding, and I loved learning about the traditions and being a part of their celebration. Sarah and Aaron put their own individual spin on things. One of my favorite things about wedding is seeing how each couple does it differently to reflect who they are. Aaron danced down the aisle with his parents and had each bridesmaid and groomsman greet him at the alter with a hug, special handshake or even an Eskimo kiss! SO funny! Their reception was a total blast and even Aaron’s grandma stayed on the dance floor all. night. long. No kidding. That lady can dance! I have no idea how I was even able to narrow down these photos enough for a blog post because there were so many sweet and hilarious moments. Brittany Jackson photographed this wedding with me and she was a huge help. You will see many of her fabulous shots sprinkled throughout.
One last thing. I have a confession. Sarah and Aaron’s wedding was on May 13, 2012… that means this blog post is only a year and a half late! 2012 and 2013 have been a crazy, fun, jam packed whirlwind in my life. I have so many wonderful things to blog, both weddings and some fun personal posts. I went to France and Holland with my mom in the summer of 2012 and have yet to post any photos from that trip, and I went to Ireland with my mother in law in March of this year, I married my favorite guy in May and we went on our honeymoon to Italy, Switzerland and Germany in August, and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing so many incredible couples in 2012 and 2013 who have yet to make an appearance on the blog. That’s not the end of the excitement either! I have a big announcement to make soon, but I have to catch you all up to speed first… : ) Stay tuned for a flurry of weddings and personal posts on the blog in the coming weeks!
I imagine being a part of this family would never get old.
Aaron’s dance with his mother was like nothing I have ever seen before. They danced, or should I say dueled to Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better. It was fantastic!Gotta love it when the guys dance to NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. Reminds me of my Jr. high days. : )
