Courtney and Jacob Married!

I can’t say enough good about Courtney and Jacob… I had so much fun with them when we did their engagement session back in the spring. Courtney blew me away with her beauty and sweetness when we did her bridal portrait at the Proximity in Greensboro. All in all, they are just a joy to be around, and so are all of their family and friends. I had a feeling their wedding day was going to be such a pretty day, and it was a perfect September day. The ceremony was at Courtney’s parent’s charming house in Catawba and the reception took place right across the street at the Sherrill Tobacco Co. Banquet Hall. We literally walked to the reception. I love small towns! Courtney and Jacob have been together since high school (awwww!) and are obviously best friends. I love that Courtney helped Jacob put on his tie before the ceremony. There were several emotional and sweet moments during the reception. I don’t usually get teary at weddings because I am so focused on what I am doing, but I was definitely fighting back tears. I think everyone was overcome by the emotion of the combining of families and the acknowledgement of time passing and wanting to savor the moment. It was really special.
